EDUCATION
Aisha graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/ Law & Society. Aisha then attended the University of the District of Columbia School of Law in Washington, D.C., where she received her Juris Doctor and received the Dean’s Cup for Outstanding Community Service. During her time in law school, Aisha participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Legal Clinic as a student attorney, where she and two fellow students successfully represented a detained client, a lawful permanent resident who was in risk of being removed from the United States. Aisha served as the president of the Latino Law Student Association, whose mission was to remedy the under-representation of Latinos in all segments of the legal community.
EXPERIENCE
As a first-generation daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants, Aisha has always had a passion for immigration law. Aisha has represented many immigrants before several Immigration Courts around the country. In addition, Aisha represents several juvenile immigrants seeking before the Immigration Courts and the California State Courts in terms of guardianship or custody cases. As the Senior Removal Defense Attorney for the San Diego offices, Aisha continues fighting to ensure that every person seeking to remain in the United States has the opportunity to have their day in Court and have the right to be heard.
Aisha is an active member, in good standing, of the California Bar Association and American Immigration Lawyers Association.
Aisha is fluent in Spanish.
